At TARGET Hindi Cultural Language Institute, we do everything to ensure that your personal learning goals are met. Our private language instruction is done on a one-on-one, 3 hours a day minimum, 5-days a week basis, from a minimum period of 1 week and for as long as required; we can accommodate all Hindi language levels.



All class instruction is given using phonetic English so there is no problem even for beginners.

As listening, understanding and speaking are basic language skills, our first class starts with the introduction of Hindi sounds, words and structures. After the very first day, every student can start speaking the language.

Short-term Courses

(for basic conversation and travelling)
4 hours per day for 5 days (2 hours morning and 2 hours evening)
or
6 hours per day for 5 days (3 hours morning and 3 hours evening)

(for everyday basic conversation)
4 hours per day for 5 days (2 hours morning and 2 hours evening)
or
6 hours per day for 5 days (3 hours morning and 3 hours evening)

(for everyday basic conversation + Hindi Script)
4 hours per day for 5 days (2 hours morning and 2 hours evening)
or
6 hours per day for 5 days (3 hours morning and 3 hours evening)

(for effective operational conversation + Hindi Script)
4 hours per day for 5 days (2 hours morning and 2 hours evening)
or
6 hours per day for 5 days (3 hours morning and 3 hours evening)

This intensive course is popular among students of foreign universities, who are either studying Hindi or doing research work. After this course learner may be able to easily interact with people and discuss things comfortably.

Long-term Courses

Long-term intensive Courses are chosen with definite target by students, researchers and trainees.

Long-term intensive Courses not only teach proficiency level skills but also educate about Indian history, politics, geography, food and other subjects.

(For achieving Vantage level of proficiency in Hindi)
4 or 6 hours per day for 5 days a week

(For effective operational proficiency in Hindi)
4 or 6 hours per day for 5 days a week

(For high proficiency in Hindi)
2 or 4 hours per day for 5 days a week

Special Courses and Support

We run special programs to support and guide research about India and Indian History, Culture, Politics, Agriculture, Religions and other subjects.

For your better understanding, following is a brief outline of a typical week with us. Actual times will be adjusted to suit each participant’s interests, needs and learning style:

✔ WEEKDAYS

7 to 8 am: Breakfast with the family
Between 8 am-12 noon: Private language instruction
12:30 to 1:30 pm: Lunch with the family
2 to 5 pm: Personalized cultural activity* and/or free time (several times a week): For example, discovering the sacred Ganges river, visiting the local market, taking a cooking class, visiting a government primary school, walking Varanasi’s ancient alleyways, visiting a temple, exploring Buddhist-rich Sarnath, discovering the traditional art of sari weaving, attending a cultural event, exploring sprawling Banaras Hindu University, experiencing a Bollywood movie, visiting The Kopal Foundation, etc.
*Personalized cultural activity: we will assist you in planning the activity as well as accompany you for its duration. All related costs, for example transportation, entrance fees, food cost, etc., remain your exclusive responsibility.
Between 5- 8 pm: Tea + private language instruction
Evening: Free time with the family and/or private time
8:00-9:00 pm Dinner with the family

✔ WEEKEND

Saturday: Free time (meals with the family)
Sunday: Free time (breakfast only with the family included)
* We will gladly assist you in planning your private weekend activities, the full costs of which remain under your exclusive responsibility.

Please note that we do not take more than 2 participants at a time; this way we can ensure that full attention is given to each participant.
