The TARGET Hindi Cultural Language Institute is located in Varanasi-Sarnath (also known as ‘Benares’ or ‘Banaras’ during the British Colonial Period), one of the oldest continuously occupied cities in the world and also one of the most sacred cities for both the Hindu (Varanasi) and Buddhist (Sarnath) religions. The city stretches along the holy Ganges River, in the very heartland of northern India, where Standard Hindi has developed across the millennia. Varanasi is well connected by regular flights to Delhi, Mumbai and many other national and international destinations.
